The Valär Family

Maria Valär (Tante Maria)

 

Maria was born in 1917. She married a butcher named Peter Oberrauch. Together they owned a meat factory that produced Buntnerfleisch (air dried beef.)

 

Peter passed away in 1975, but Maria is still going strong at 97. She has amazing stories, for example she sailed on the Andrea Doria two weeks before it sank. She is in good health and still interacts with the whole family who live right next door.
