Although Maria spent considerable time in America, and Paul immigrated, most of the Valär family is still in Switzerland, specifically Davos. These pages cover the Swiss side of the family.

What Is, And Where Is Switzerland?

Switzerland happens to be one of the smallest counties in the world with only a couple million people. Switzerland is considered an economic powerhouse, with an extremely strong Franc (currency). It's known for it's banks and food. It's well known for it's chocalate, cheeses, and fondue. Switzerland's neutrality is cause for many conferences and peace talks to occur in the city of Geneva.

Switzerland is in central Europe. It's capital is Bern, while Zurich and Geneva are also major cities. Instead of States it features Cantons, of which there are 26.

What Is, And Where Is Davos?

Davos is a town in the east of switzerland. It is located in the Canton of Grabunden. It is very poplular because of it's ski resorts and has many hotels and restaurants. I would definetly recommend visiting if you have the chance. In the summer there is hiking and hockey. Davos has a very good Hockey Team - Hockey Club Davos. The game's are very cool.
